AFTER 30 SHOTS FIRED, MAN CARRYING TAKE-OUT BAG SHOT AND KILLED IN NORTH PHILLY

Philadelphia Police said a man carrying a takeout bag was shot and killed overnight in North Philadelphia. A 6 ABC ACTION NEWS report said the shooting happened at around 2 a.m. on the 2300 block of North Opal Street.

Police said that at least 30 shots were fired on the block. A 21-year old victim was found in a vacant lot on the block. He’d been shot in the back. The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The 21-year old victim reportedly lived about 3 blocks away from where he was killed.
