Philadelphia Police said a man was killed in front of the entrance to an apartment complex in Mount Airy last night. According to a report from 6 ABC ACTION NEWS, the incident happened on the 8400 block of Forrest Avenue at around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday night.

The gunman reportedly fired 17 shots at close range. The victim was found lying in a walkway, about three feet from the main entrance. He had multiple gunshot wounds to the head, face, and body. The victim, who remains unidentified at this time, is believed to be in his mid to late 20’s. Police say they recovered a gun from the victims waistband.
Police said they’ve located a surveillance camera they believe may have been pointing in the area of the shooting, and may have captured the incident. No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made in the killing at this time.
