Police said crews removed an SUV from the Darby Creek on Monday morning. Divers found human remains inside of the sunken vehicle last week, according to a report from 6 ABC ACTION NEWS. The SUV was reportedly removed from the waters of the Stingers Waterfront in Ridley Township, Delaware County.
Ridley Police said divers from a private company named Adventures With Purpose had been contacted by a missing person’s family asking for help finding a man. That man had been missing since December 4th, of 2003. The family was reportedly looking for “closure.”
The divers immediately contacted police after making the discovery on March 19th of this year. The company said they specialize in cold cases where vehicles were involved. The report said the company said they use “sonar technology” to locate and track cars underwater. The man’s identity has not yet been released.
