Philadelphia Police said a 22-year old man is in extremely critical condition, after his car struck a tree in Olney, during the early morning hours Sunday. According to a report from 6 ABC ACTION NEWS, the accident happened near Rising Sun & Olney Avenues at around 6 a.m.
The driver was reportedly driving at a high-rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle and hit a tree. The impact caused the car to flip on its side before coming to rest, wedged between two trees. Firefighters were reportedly called to remove the occupants of the vehicle from the wreckage.
Both occupants of the car were rushed to Einstein Hospital. The 22-year old man was last reported to be in extremely critical condition. The passenger, only listed as “a 28-year old woman”, was last reported to be in stable condition, and expected to be ok, according to the report.
