The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office said a man was shot in the arm by police on Wednesday morning, after opening fire on officers in the parking lot of an apartment complex. According to a 6 ABC ACTION NEWS report, the incident started at around 3 a.m. on the on the 400 block of Meadowview Lane, in Mont Clare.

Officials said officers were initially called to the complex on a report for a family member who was suffering from some type of mental episode. The caller told police dispatch that the family member had packed up multiple weapons in his pickup truck and took off.
Police encountered the family member in the parking lot of the Meadows Condominium Complex. He’d just crashed his truck. The man jumped out of the truck and fired at police. That was when police reportedly fired back, hitting the man in the arm. The man was apprehended without further event, and admitted to Paoli Hospital, where his condition was listed as “expected to survive.”
