TEEN STABBED MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE SOMERTON SECTION OF THE CITY

Philadelphia Police said they are investigating a stabbing that happened last night in the Somerton section of the city. A report from the DELAWARE VALLEY NEWS, said the incident happened at around 7:20 p.m. on Rennard Street, near Tomlinson Road, on Monday night.

A 17-year old male reportedly got into a confrontation with at least one person, in the parking lot of the Golden Gates Restaurant. The teen was stabbed multiple times in the back. The teen was rushed to Holy Redeemer Hospital, where he was initially treated. He was later transferred to Jefferson Abington Hospital, where he was last reported to be in stable condition.

Police said they did not recover the weapon. No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
