Police say a 21-year old man is currently in a hospital this morning, fighting for his life, after he was chased down and shot in Northeast Philly last night. 6 ABC ACTION NEWS reported that the shooting happened on the 3300 block of Bleigh Street at around 8:30 p.m.

According to police, the man had just left the gym at Lincoln High School, in Northeast Philly. He drove about a block before he was approached by shooters who opened fire on him. Police reported finding 28 spent shell casings at the scene. The victim was reportedly being shot at from every angle. He attempted to escape the vehicle and flee, but the suspects chased him down on foot and continued firing at the victim as he attempted to run. The victim was reportedly hit at least three times in the abdomen. He was taken to the hospital and last reported to be in critical condition.
No suspects have been named and no one has been arrested for the shooting at this time.
