Philadelphia Police say a man was thrown out of a nightclub in North Philly last night. The man fired at the security guard, who returned fire, leaving the man dead. According to NBC-10 PHILLY, the wild scene took place outside of the 7 Star Lounge, on the 2000 block of West Sergeant Street on Friday night.

A 28-year old man and two individuals were reportedly harassing customers and causing a disturbance inside of the club. At around 10:45 p.m., the three men and the club’s security began physically fighting, after security confronted the men. Once the three men were outside, the 28-year old reportedly went to his car and grabbed a handgun. He fired one shot at one of the guards. The guard returned fire, hitting the man twice in the torso and twice in the arm.

A police officer who responded to the incident, rushed the 28-year old to the hospital. He was pronounced dead shortly after midnight. Police said the guard was licensed to carry. No charges have been filed.
