Police say a 24-year old man was killed after a gunman open fired on the victim’s car last night in the Kensington section of the city. A 6 ABC ACTION NEWS report said the incident happened at Lehigh Avenue & North American Street, at around 1.a.m early Monday morning.
Arriving officers reportedly found the 24-year old man inside of his car. Three shell casings were located near the victim’s vehicle. He was hit at least one time in the head by gunfire. Police said the victim’s car was still running when they found him. The 24-year old victim was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
No suspect has been identified and no arrests have been made in the murder at this time. Police are reportedly checking nearby surveillance cameras to see what they may have captured.
