Philadelphia police are investigating a shooting outside of a storage facility in the Oxford Circle section of the city last night. 6 ABC ACTION NEWS reported that the shooting happened on the 6200 block of Oxford Avenue, at around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening.

Police said the victim was a 43-year old male, who remains unidentified at this time. Arriving officers reported finding the male near the office doors, and suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Witnesses told police that, after the shooting, a man wearing a red hat walked up to the deceased victim lying on the ground, picked up a cell phone on the ground, and walked away. The victim had been reportedly renting a unit at the facility for the past “few” years.
No suspects have been named, and no arrests have been made yet.
