Police say 31-year old, Yousuf Mahamoud Bahal, of Delaware County, was arrested and charged with the murder of his 35-year old neighbor, Samantha Hill. Hill was killed by bullets from an AR-15 assault rifle, that police say was fired at her house by Bahal on Sunday morning. A 6 ABC ACTION NEWS report said the incident happened on Penn Boulevard, in East Lansdowne at around 2 a.m.
Police reports say the responding officer arrived on the scene “heard three shots and saw muzzle flashes.” He then spotted Bahal standing in front of his home holding an AR-15. The police affidavit stated that Bahal said he believed his neighbor was “sneaking into his house” and “blowing smoke through a plastic straw into his house through an air conditioner.”
Bahal was taken into custody and charged with the murder of neighbor, Samantha Hill, who lived in the house Bahal was firing at. Hill reportedly worked as a local Veterinary Technician. Police say Bahal has a license to carry. Action News reported that, after talking to a few neighbors, it appears that the neighbors did not have any friction between them. Police said they were checking into Bahal’s mental health status.
