Police in Philadelphia say a man is dead after he was stabbed outside of a South Philly Wawa store in the early hours of Monday morning. A report from 6 ABC ACTION NEWS said the incident happened in the parking lot of the Wawa on the 1600 block of S. Christopher Columbus Boulevard.

The 40-year old victim reportedly went into the Wawa shortly before 2 a.m. He bought some food from the store and then walked back to his SUV and ate his food in his car. The report went on to say that, at around 4:25 a.m. a customer alerted the security guard that they should check on the man in the vehicle.
Fire and E.M.S crews arrived and had to break the back driver’s side window to get into the vehicle. Police say the man was stabbed in the abdomen. He was rushed to Jefferson University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later. Police say they are checking surveillance cameras for clues, or a better description of the suspect. No arrests have been made yet.
