Philadelphia Police say they increased patrols in Center City last night due to the presence of a group of about 150 teens who were causing disruptions downtown. Police say the meeting of teens was organized through social media, starting at around 5:30 p.m. according to police.

A report from 6 ABC ACTION NEWS said that at one point the group of teens ran into the Wawa store at 12th & Market Streets, and ransacked the store. The group also vandalized other stores on their journey through Center City. Some stores closed their doors early on Saturday, in hopes of avoiding being a target of the teenagers. Four teens have been arrested and charged with “high-level” misdemeanor crimes.
