James Harden is officially a member of the Philadelphia 76ers. Harden was part of a trade that helped the 76ers move their unhappy, and now former, starting PG, Ben Simmons. The Harden trade also included former Denver Nugget PF Paul Milsap. The 76ers gave up Seth Curry, Andre Drummond, and two future first round picks, according to a report from 6 ABC ACTION NEWS.

I like that the 76ers were able to move Ben Simmons, while someone was still interested. Even more, Harden can take the 76ers from contender to favorite in the Eastern Conference just by being on the court. (Argue with someone who hasn’t won 5…count em’ 1..2..3..4..5, basketball titles! It was for coaching 13 & under….but still! I know what I’m taking about and you don’t!) I don’t believe Brooklyn has improved their chances of winning a title, or even coming out of the East with this trade. That whole Kyrie Irving/Corona thing is going to continue to be an issue. Especially when we’re speaking about growing some chemistry together. And as for everyone’s other favorite in the East, the Milwaukee Bucks….they won’t beat the 76ers in a 7-game series with James Harden on the floor.
