A suspect who was wanted in at least two carjackings in the last week, was taken off the streets last night, after a brief police chase, according to Philadelphia Police. 6 ABC ACTION NEWS reported that a man who was carjacked last week, spotted the suspect driving his car along the 4000 block of Aramingo Avenue on Tuesday evening.

The victim began following his stolen Mercedes-Benz. Officers arrived a short time later and attempted to pull the vehicle over. A brief chase began, before the suspect crashed into a vehicle on the 4500 block of Richmond Street. Police say the suspect was “mostly” taken into custody without incident. The unidentified 32-year old, male, suspect allegedly elbowed an officer or two as he was being apprehended.
Police say the suspect was in possession of several stolen credit cards. A weapon was also found inside of the vehicle. Police say they believe the 32-year old is also responsible for a carjacking of an Audi Sedan on Monday, on the 7700 block of Rugby Street.
