According to police, the drama began when two security guards employed by Rite-Aid stepped in when they noticed two customers (one male, one female) who were allegedly being “rude” to employees. The security guards asked the pair to leave the store.

One of the guards (who was later identified as a 41-year old man) walked the couple out of the store to a nearby parking lot in the back of an AMC theatre. Police alleged, the argument between the security guard and the male suspect escalated into a fist-fight at that point. Police say the male suspect pulled out a gun and fired one time, hitting the security guard in the foot. The security guard was taken to a nearby hospital. No report on his condition, but reports say he is expected to survive his injuries. Police say the shooter took off on foot.
