Officials in Long Island , New York, said an elderly man drowned after falling into a swimming pool, while shoveling snow during the blizzard on Saturday. According to a report from 6 ABC, the unconscious man was pulled out of the swimming pool in Cutchogue, New York at around 8:30 p.m.

Long Island officials also reported the deaths of two more seniors who died while shoveling snow during the blizzard. This happened in Syosset, New York. A 75-year old man and a 53-year old man both died while shoveling snow during the blizzard, in separate incidents.
