PHILADELPHIA, P.A. (NORTH PHILLY/KENSINGTON)

Police say they are investigating a shooting that involved a father and son on Wednesday morning, in the Kensington section of the city. A report from 6 ABC ACTION NEWS this afternoon said, the shooting happened on the 200 block of W. Oxford Street at around 10:00 a.m.

A 48-year old man reportedly attacked his 67-year old father. The dad shot the son in the groin. Even with a serious groin injury, the son still charged at the father. After a struggle, the son managed to wrestle the gun from the father’s hands. He immediately shot his dad one time in the head, the moment he got control of the firearm. Father and son both were rushed to Jefferson University Hospital. Amazingly, both men were still conscious. No word on their conditions at this moment. Police say they recovered a weapon at the scene.
