Police say they are investigating an attempted robbery that left one man shot, in the Brewerytown section of the city on Monday night. According to a report from 6 ABC ACTION NEWS, the incident took place at around 6 p.m. on the 2600 block of West Montgomery Avenue.

Police say two suspects ambushed a 49-year old man as he was coming out of the corner store. Police say some sort of struggle ensued, and the victim took off running in an attempt to escape, but the 49-year old ended up with a bullet in the leg and hip. The suspects fled in a vehicle after the shooting. The victim was taken to the hospital, and was last reported to be in stable condition.
No arrests have been made yet, but police say an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
