A report from NBC NEWS on Saturday said, 26-year old Ian Alexander Jr., who is the only child of Emmy Award winning actress, Regina King, died by suicide on Saturday. A representative for Ms. King confirmed the news to NBC on Saturday morning.

Ms. King released a message through her representative on Saturday:

“Our family is devastated by the loss of Ian. He is such a bright who cared so deeply about the happiness of others. Our family asks for respectful consideration during this private time.”
