Three crew members and an infant were injured when a medical helicopter crashed near the Drexel Hill United Methodist Church, in Drexel Hill, Delaware County, Tuesday afternoon. 6 ABC ACTION NEWS was on the scene, and reported that the crash happened on the 600 block of Burmont Road shortly before 1 p.m.
The helicopter was reportedly traveling from WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital in Chambersburg, P.A., to Children’s Hospital in Philly, when the accident happened. The injured three crew members were rushed to Lankenau Medical Center. The two-month old infant was taken to CHOP. Officials said “it’s a miracle. It’s an absolute miracle” that no one was killed in the helicopter crash.
