AT LEAST 12 PEOPLE SHOT IN PHILADELPHIA ON FIRST DAY OF NEW YEAR

Welcome to 2022………..What’s supposed to be a new start, turned out to be the same old thing for us residents of Philadelphia. More violence. Police say that at least twelve people have been shot on the first day of 2022. The current time is 10:13 in the a.m., by the way.

A report from 6 ABC ACTION NEWS said, police responded to three separate shootings in North Philadelphia in the wee hours of Saturday morning.

*Police say five shooting victims were found on the 1600 block of Cecil B. Moore Ave. at around 2 a.m. All five victims were rushed to Temple University Hospital. The shooting took place near Temple University’s main campus. Two male victims reportedly died from their injuries. Three female victims were all last listed in stable condition. Police say the victims were leaving a New Year’s Eve Party when the shots rang out.

*Around 1:30 a.m., a man and a woman were found shot on the 100 block of East Lurray Street. Police said these two victims were also leaving a New Year’s Eve party when they were shot. The male victim reportedly died from his injuries. The two female victims were last reported in stable condition. Police said the party was held in an Auto Repair shop. They also said the alleged shooter attended the party.

*Police were called to the intersection of 8th & Cambria Streets at around 2:15 a.m. They arrived to find three people suffering from gunshot wounds. No word on their conditions.

*Around 3:30 a.m. a man was shot in the leg on the 6000 block of Torresdale Avenue. He was rushed to Temple University Hospital, where he was last reported to be in stable condition.
