Former Minnesota Police Officer, Kim Potter, was found guilty in the fatal shooting of 20-year old, Daunte Wright. On Thursday, a jury found Potter guilty on charges of first and second degree manslaughter, according to a report from CNN.

Trial Judge, Regina Chu, ordered that Potter be taken directly to jail. That means Potter will be in custody, at least until sentencing on Feb. 18th, 2022. The maximum sentence for second-degree manslaughter is 10-years in prison. The maximum sentence for first-degree manslaughter is 15-years in prison.
