The city of Philadelphia has just confirmed a nasty statistic that all of us residents of the city were likely aware of. According to a report from KYW-NEWSRADIO, the number of women shot and killed in Philadelphia this year, has doubled from its 2020 count.
The Women Against Abuse group has been keeping track of the startling statistic. They say 256 women have been victims of shootings in the city this year. 53 of those women were killed. The city also confirmed that domestic homicides in general, are up 106% from last year.
