Philadelphia Police say one of their own was shot multiple times during a confrontation with another driver, in North Philly on Wednesday afternoon. 6 ABC ACTION NEWS, was on the scene, and reported that the shooting happened at the intersection of North 13th & Pike Streets at around 1:30 p.m.
The 46-year old, 15-year veteran officer, allegedly got into some type of verbal altercation with the passenger inside of a gray sedan. The officer was shot in both arms during the confrontation. Police say they are not sure if the driver of the sedan, or the passenger, was the shooter. The officer was able to drive himself to the hospital. He was last listed in stable condition.
