On Monday afternoon, 14-year old, Samir Jefferson, was shot at least 18 times throughout the body. Police say approximately 35 shots in total were fired at Samir. Police also said there was more than one shooter. Samir was rushed to Temple University Hospital. He died shortly after arriving.

Today (Wednesday), Deputy Commissioner, Ben Naish, said that three shooters, all in their 20’s, were involved in Samir’s murder. Naish said two suspects are in custody. Three more suspects are still being sought. Police say Samir was waiting for a bus, on his way home from school when he was ambushed.
