The body of 1-year old, Jaclyn “Angel” Dobbs was found in a retention pond in Indiana, and positively identified on Friday. This comes two days after the child’s mother, 21-year old, Ja’nya Murphy, was found dead in Wheeling, Illinois, according to a report from NBC 5 CHICAGO

Police say a person of interest was arrested and is in custody. The unnamed suspect, was found in Missouri after fleeing Illinois. Police say the person of interest landed on their radar, after police viewed a surveillance video of the two together on Monday night. The last day Ja’nya Murphy was seen alive. Police say Ja’nya had a previous relationship with the suspect, but he was not 1-year old, Jaclyn’s father.
