GILLETT, PENNSYLVANIA

Police say an 11-year old boy was stabbed to death during an apparent argument turned “scuffle” over a toy, according to a report from FOX-29 PHILADELPHIA.

Bradford County State Police, who investigated the incident, said, the boys (aged 9 & 11) were inside of a residence in Ridgebury Township at around 8pm on Saturday evening. At some point the boys got into a “tug of war” over a foam-based gun. Police say the 9-year old, (who was holding a knife in his hand) cut the victim in his upper-left chest during the struggle for the toy. The older boy was pronounced dead at Robert Packer Hospital, after “life-saving efforts.”

Police classified the 11-year old’s death as a homicide. No information on if the 9-year old will be charged at this time.
