MORE THAN TWO DOZEN BULLETS FIRED, LEAVES MAN INJURED IN HUNTING PARK

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA

A shooting in the Hunting Park section of the city left a 26-year old man wounded. A report from CBS -3 PHILLY said the shooting happened Tuesday night shortly before midnight, on the 4200 block of North Broad Street.

The police report said the man was shot in the leg, but managed to limp into a Walgreens store to ask for help. The report said 26-shell casings were recovered at the scene. Police say they have surveillance video of the shooting. They say the video shows a dark colored SUV on Jerome Street that started the gunfire.

“It (the SUV) stops in the middle of the 4200 block of North Broad Street. Two or three people get out of that SUV, and they begin firing shots.”

Said Chief Inspector Scott Small. He also said one of the bullets went through a nearby bar, but no one was injured. No arrests have been made in the shooting.
