11-YEAR OLD DRIVER AND TWO TEENS ARRESTED WITH GUNS AFTER 110-MPH HIGH SPEED CHASE

An 11-year old, and his two teenage passengers are facing weapons charges following a high-speed chase with police officers over the weekend.

The New York Daily news reported the car stop happened in Omaha, Nebraska. The 11-year old and his two 14-year old passengers, were caught with two stolen guns as they traveled down Interstate 80 in a stolen SUV.

The SUV was pulled over at around 1am Saturday, after police received a report of a stolen Jeep Gladiator that was stolen from Lincoln, Nebraska. A state trooper spotted the vehicle traveling toward Omaha. Before the trooper could pull the car over, the Jeep Gladiator stepped on the gas.

A police chase ensued, with the jeep reaching speeds of up to 110 mph at times. During the chase, a handgun was thrown from the car. Police almost immediately retrieved the discarded weapon. The jeep eventually stopped near an overpass. The three passengers were taken into custody without incident. A second handgun found in the vehicle was determined to be stolen. Just like the one that was thrown out of the window.

The 11-year old was charged with possession of a stolen firearm, theft, flight to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving, obstruction, and multiple traffic violations. The teens were both charged with possession of a stolen firearm.
