SUSPECT WHO STABBED CASHIER IN CHELTENHAM SMOKE SHOP ROBBERY SURRENDERS TO POLICE

19-year old, Avery Armknecht, of Norristown,PA, has been charged with attempted criminal homicide, robbery, aggravated assault, and other related charges, for the robbery and assault inside the Mr. Cigarette Smoke Shop on October 6th, according to a report from FOX 29 PHILADELPHIA.

A 62-year old store cashier was stabbed twice during the robbery. She was taken to a trauma center where she underwent emergency surgery for life-threatening injuries. She is expected to survive.

Armknecht turned himself in to Cheltenham Township Police on October 11th. Two days after an arrest warrant was issued for him. He was denied bail, and has a preliminary hearing scheduled for October 21st.
