52-year old, Jay Conway, of Gwinnett County, GA, was arrested on Friday and charged with eavesdropping and clandestine surveillance. According to a report from WSB CHANNEL 2 ATLANTA, Conway’s charges stem from him hiding a camera inside his girlfriend’s daughter’s bedroom.
The daughter, whose name and age were not disclosed, told police that her and her boyfriend were in bed in her bedroom in the basement, when the pair noticed a blinking red light coming from an Easter basket near the bed. She found a video camera hidden in the basket. The basket allegedly had a hole cut in it, and was pointing at her bed.
The victim and her mother confronted Conway. The pair recorded the confrontation. Police say Conway made multiple excuses for the recordings and camera. Including, he “felt left out” and he “wanted to hear what they were talking about. Conway said he did not have any of the videos recorded. Conway said the recordings were live, and that he watched them when he wanted to see what they were doing.
