PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA

Police say a woman was shot in the head by a man and killed, in the West Oak Lane section of the city on Tuesday afternoon. The shooting happened at around 4:20 pm on the 6900 block of North Broad Street, according to a report from CBS 3 PHILLY.

Police say the 28-year old, unidentified woman, was shot by a 34-year old male, who she allegedly knew. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Police haven’t said what led to the shooting, or how the victim and murderer know each other, but an at least one arrest has been made. Police also say a weapon was recovered. They did not specify if the weapon found was the one used in the murder.
