CA MAU PROVINCE, VIETNAM
28-year old, Le Van Tri, was convicted in a Vietnamese courtroom of defying mandatory quarantine orders after contracting Covid, and spreading the virus, according to a report from The Hill.
Tri was convicted after a one-day trial. The Province of Ca Mau, had a population of 204,895 in 2010. Ca Mau recorded only 191 cases of Covid, and only two deaths. Tri was charged with infecting 9 people, one of which died.
