Actor Michael K. Williams, who is probably known to most as “Omar” from the HBO series “The Wire”, has passed away. A rep from Williams’ camp confirmed the sad news to The Hollywood Reporter.
The statement from Mr. Williams’ rep read:
“It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Emmy nominated actor Michael K. Williams. They ask for your privacy while grieving this unsurmountable loss.”
Williams’ long-time rep Marianna Shafran of Shafran PR said in a statement to THR. Williams died at his home on Monday morning. No more details about his death has been released to the public as of yet. R.I.P Michael K. Williams…..you made every movie or series you were in much better!
