MAN FIRES SHOTS AT POLICE AND STEALS COP CAR

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA

A multi-state search is on for a man police say, crashed a motorcycle in Philly, fired shots at responding officers, and then stole a police car with two rifles and SWAT gear inside, according to a report from NBC Philadelphia.

The man, who has not been publicly identified by police yet, was wanted for an unrelated incident in Delaware County. Police spotted him crashing his motorcycle along the 8400 block of Lindberg Avenue, in Philadelphia on Monday morning. As police approached him, the man allegedly began firing at them. Then he got off of his motorcycle and stole an unmarked police vehicle. Investigators said the car was a Chevy Tahoe.

Police found the vehicle at around 8pm that night. It was in Deptford, New Jersey, on Sunrise & Pennsylvania Avenues. The suspect was not inside of the vehicle. Police blocked roads as they continue to search the immediate area for any signs of the suspect. Police say they recovered the weapons, but the SWAT gear was gone. Police thing the suspect may be carrying weapon(s) of his own.

UPDATE: The suspect has been arrested in New Jersey, and identified as 41-year old, Henry Disanto Jr.
