38-year old Paul Allard Hodgkins, of Florida, pleaded guilty to one count of obstructing an official proceeding for breaching the Senate on January 6th.

The Associated Press reported, federal prosecutors were looking for a prison sentence of around 18-months. The maximum penalty Hodgkins faced for his offense was 20-years in prison. District Judge Randolph Moss disagreed with the prosecutions recommendation. and sentenced Hodgkins to 8 months in prison, followed by 24-months of “supervised release” (Probation). The judge was harsh and stern as he scolded Hodgkins and told him he had to do something to “deter” other people from doing the same thing. 8-months in prison.
