HOUSTON, TEXAS

A man accused of killing the mother of his child while she held his baby, is being held on $8 million bond after multiple outbursts and interruptions in the courtroom over a two-day period. The accused is 27-year old, Zaccheaus Gatson from Houston, Texas.

KHOU Texas, reported that Ga6tson had to be forcibly removed from the courtroom on Friday. This came after Gatson allegedly got into a struggle with officers who were assisting him to the stand. Video shows Gaston exchanging words with the officers before he was quickly removed from the courtroom.

Gaston is accused of killing 24-year old Layla Steele while she was holding the son the couple shared, on July 1st of this year. Gatson was out of jail on seven felony bonds and he was wearing an ankle monitor at the time he allegedly killed Steele. The child, named Zeus, is in the hospital and expected to make it after being hospitalized with a bullet wound. Gatson is charged with murder, assault with bodily harm, assault with bodily injury, assault with a deadly weapon, and evading arrest.
