PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA
Philadelphia police were shot at last night as they attempted to transport the victim of a shooting to the hospital.

According to an article published by The Philadelphia Inquirer(https://www.inquirer.com/), the incident happened around 11 p.m. last night on the 1600 block of Cecil B. Moore Avenue in North Philly. Officers arrived at the scene to find a 19-year old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Police attempted to carry the victim to their car for an emergency transport to the nearest hospital. Suddenly, shots rang out.
According to the police report, the officers took cover when the shooting began. Cops slowly moved in on the area where the gunshots were coming from. The report says police did not fire their weapons. No officers were injured during the shooting nor pursuit of the suspect. The suspect or suspects were not apprehended, but police say they did find two weapons at the scene. The shooting victim was taken to Temple Hospital. At last report, he was listed in stable condition.
