TOMBALL, TEXAS
A woman was severely injured on Monday morning when she was shot by her ex-husband, hours before the former couple were scheduled to appear at court for a child-custody hearing. The incident happened shortly after 3:00 am on Monday morning, in Tomball, Texas.

WSB Radio (https://www.wsbradio.com/) reported, the husband, Aaron Wright, cut the power to the ex-wife’s home at around 3:14 am., according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Department. He then broke into the house through a back window, before opening fire on his former spouse.
Investigators said, outside of the obvious motive, there were ongoing issues going on between Wright, the ex-wife, and Wright’s current girlfriend. The couple’s hearing that was scheduled for later Monday morning, was for the custody of their four children, ranging in ages 5-12 years old.
Police say Wright’s wife is expected to survive. The children were not injured during the shooting. Wright was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
