MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA
1 person is dead, multiple people are injured, and dozens of people are currently unaccounted for, after a 12-story condo building near Miami Beach, late Wednesday night.

The South Florida Sun Sentinel (https://www.sun-sentinel.com/) reported, at a news conference on Thursday morning, Miami-Dade officials said rescuers were stabilizing the building so they could continue working. The collapsed building was located in the town of Surfside, according to The Sun Sentinel. Rescuers said they did not know hoe many people were missing, and that the rescue and search work would continue.

“Everyone who is alive is out of the building”
Director Of Miami-Dade Emergency Management, Frank Rollason said in a statement to the Sun Sentinel. Rollason believes that all survivors from the tower, which has 130 condo units, has already been rescued from the, more than 70 units that have been destroyed or damaged.
