PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA

Philadelphia Police are investigating a shooting in North Philadelphia that left one man dead and riddled with bullets. According to a report from 6ABC (https://6abc.com/), the 25-year old man was shot at least 18 times across his body. The shooting reportedly happened on the 2600 block of North 23rd Street. The man was rushed to an area hospital, and was pronounced dead a short time later.

There have been at least 176 homicides reported in the city of Philadelphia so far this year. That number is up 38% from the same time last year, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.
