DENVER, COLORADO
The Denver Broncos are set to acquire QB Teddy Bridgewater in a trade with the Carolina Panthers. Denver will be sending their 6th round pick (No. 191 overall) to Carolina. “Around The NFL” writer, Nick Shook (@TheNickShook), wrote that Carolina is still paying paying Bridgewater from the guaranteed money he signed for. Of the $10 million in guaranteed money Bridgewater signed for, about $7 million remains outstanding. That means Denver will pay just $3 million and a 6th round draft pick at the end of the day. NFL Network’s James Palmer reported that Bridgewater is not going to Denver to be the backup. According to Palmer, Bridgewater is being brought in to compete for the starting spot in Denver.
