Last night’s episode was crazy. I don’t even know where to start. I guess there’s no better place to start than at the heart of the episode. This episode was definitely focused around Leon. You remember he shot that little girl last week, when Skully’s homies pulled up and a shootout between the two cars started? The chick who was holding the child, turned out to be Skully’s girlfriend. The little girl that Leon shot was Skully’s daughter. But wait! There’s more! The little girl was Manboy’s niece. The little girl’s mother is Manboy’s sister. Now, ain’t that some shit?!
Lee and Fatback are on the run and looking for a place to lay low. They don’t know if the cops are looking for them, but they know they need to get off the streets. The two split up. Lee goes to his mother’s house to retrieve some money he left there. Mom tells Lee she spent the money. She also tells Lee he can’t stay with her…but she does give him a blanket so he can keep himself warm out in the streets. After last being seen on skid row trying to get some sleep, Lee reappears sleeping on the floor in Alton’s homeless shelter. Alton brings Franklin to see Lee. Franklin puts Lee up in one of the houses him and his mom owns. Franklin tells Lee to stay there until he can figure out what to do next.
Franklin asked Teddy to see if he could use his CIA connects to see if Leon was wanted in the murder of the little girl. Teddy gives Franklin the bad news that Lee is wanted by the police. Shortly afterwards, Lee’s picture is all over every tv station.
Meanwhile, Manboy goes to talk to his sister in the hopes of consoling her after the death of her daughter. Little sis is having none of it! She’s pissed off at Manboy for everything bad that’s ever happened in her life. Including having a war with her now deceased daughter’s father, Skully. She tells him that he owes her and his niece. Manboy puts his pride to the side and meets up with Skully for a little parlay. After some hostile moments, the two decide to call a temporary truce…..so they can both go after a common enemy…..Leon.
Skully and Manboy has two different ways of going about getting their hands on Leon. Manboy is looking to pressure Franklin into handing Lee over to him, just like Manboy did to one of his members when Franklin asked him to. Manboy promises war if Franklin doesn’t turn Lee over to him in the next 48 hours. Franklin knows he only has two choices. 1) Protect Lee and go to war with Manboy and Skully. Or 2)Give his best friend to Manboy so they can torture and kill him. Franklin seems to be leaning toward the latter. Meanwhile, Lee gets spooked after seeing himself on television. Lee bounces from the apartment Franklin had his stashed in. Lee heads to hos mom’s crib to get his other stash he hid….that she didn’t find. Lee grabs his money and heads for the door. Guess who’s outside sitting in a car, and clearly waiting for Lee? Skully! Him and his gang take shots at Lee as he dips, ducks, and haul asses through the projects. Just as Skully and crew are catching up to Lee, a car pulls up and opens the back door, allowing Lee to dive inside and escape the gunfire as the car speeds off with Lee in tow. You know who was in the car right? Franklin and Jerome.
At this point I’m only about 50% sure that Lee will live to see the end of this season. I still think Franklin is going to kill him. Just my opinion.
