I hope Mariah Carey made a bunch of money writing and publishing her memoir/book. Because that book seems to be costing her a hell of a lot of money in lawsuits and lawyer fees. Ms. Carey is being sued for the 2nd time in the last month, behind her book supposedly portraying someone in a negative light. The first time, it was her sister Allison who sued her. Allison is reportedly seeking $1.25 million in her emotional distress filing against Mariah. According to the BBC (@bbcnews), Mariah’s older brother, Morgan, is looking to get broken off a lil’ somethin’, somethin’ this time.
Morgan said that Mariah falsified an account of a fight between him and his father. In Mariah’s account, she said that it took 12 cops to pull Morgan off of their father. Morgan claims that none of that ever actually happened. In court filings, Morgan also stated that these claims have severely damaged his reputation. In Mariah’s memoirs, the singer also claims that Morgan tried to extort her for money. Carey also claimed that Morgan spent time in the “criminal justice system.” Morgan said the claims are false.
