Very sad news from the entertainment industry tonight. Legendary actress Cicely Tyson has passed away sometime today at the age of 96. According to NBC News (@nbcnews), Miss Tyson’s manager, Larry Thompson, gave a very brief statement on the death of Miss Tyson
“With heavy heart, the family of Miss Cisely Tyson announces her peaceful transition.”
No cause of death has been released at this time. Mr. Thompson also requested privacy for the family and friends at this time. Rest in peace to another legend taken away from us.
