Second, you know that I usually post news stories about what’s going on in the world today. Nayze Media will still do that. I wanted to add a little something different to the site though. Opinions! So, here’s my topic of the day:

DO YOU REALLY NOT BELIEVE COVID CAN KILL YOU, OR DO YOU JUST NOT GIVE A F*CK?

I came up with this topic when I was scrolling through Instagram earlier today. It seems like some people really give zero fucks about Covid-19 killing them. That, or either they just don’t believe Covid is deadly at all. It’s hard to think anyone can believe that when over 400,000 Americans have already died from Covid. Top doctors from all over the world agree that social distancing is one of the best ways to protect yourself and others from Covid. Top doctors also suggest wearing a mask to cover your face when going outside. Some doctors may disagree on which one of those things are most important, but I’m pretty sure all of them would tell you to avoid crowds of people. So why the fuck are people still going to nightclubs?

I honestly can’t understand the shit. Going to a nightclub is worth dying for? Why? From what I see on Instagram and Twitter, all you muthafuckas’ do is stand around and look at each other and film shit. That’s all I see every time someone posts a video of them in the club. This is worth dying for? Really? Even if you might bring some shit home from the club with you and infect every single one of your loved ones? That’s cool with you? Cause that’s exactly what you’re doing every time you go to a nightclub or any other place that’s crowded with mask-less people. Maybe I’m too old and lame to understand, but I can’t imagine what could be so great about the nightclub, that you’re willing to risk your life just to go there. I mean, I know you risk your life when you go to the club anyway. Sometimes people get up in there and start shooting and wildin’ and what-not, anybody can get hit. But, that shit can be charged to the game. You knew the risk of going clubbing…..shit happens. But to die in a hospital from a lack of oxygen because someone, or some people, breathed on you, doesn’t seem like part of the game to me.

I just hope a lot of folks grow up. As Americans, the rest of the world looks at us like we’re a bunch of idiotic, entitled, selfish dickheads. In a lot of ways they’re right. We’re too caught up in our individual bullshit to see that Covid is an “us” kind of problem. Even with the vaccine coming, I don’t believe we can get Covid under control in the United States until more people begin to act responsibly. Nothing gets better if half of the country are wearing mask and social distancing, and the other half is not. The disease is always spreading. It doesn’t stop. That means if you get it and don’t mask up, you can pass that shit on to people until the day you die. This is not a “me” kind of problem. If we ever want to get back to normal, we’re going to have to tighten up around this joint. Trust me, the club is going to still be there whenever we get Covid under control. And if they’re not dead, the same people will still be up in that muthafucka’ too! You ain’t missing nothing. But you are risking EVERYTHING!
