If you didn’t look at the picture, you’re probably saying “the name sounds familiar, but I can’t put a face to the name.” Jerry Stiller was famous for his roles in “The King Of Queens”‘ “Zoolander”, and many more movies and shows, but for most, he was best remembered as playing George Castanza’s father on “Seinfeld”, and being the infamous inventor of “festivus.”
The comedian was also the father of comedian Ben Stiller. Son, Ben shared the sad news about his late father on his social media pages early Monday morning in a post.
“I’m sad to say that my father, Jerry Stiller , passes away from natural causes. He was a great dad and grandfather, and the most dedicated husband to Anne for about 62 years. He will be greatly missed. Love you Dad.” Ben Stiller posted to his Twitter page this morning.
Ben’s mom and Jerry’s wife, Anne, passed away 5-years ago at 85-years of age. She also had television experience, with roles in “The King Of Queens” and “Sex In The City.”
