The stay-at home order in the Philadelphia area of PA has been extended until at least June 4th, PA Governor Tom Wolf announced on Thursday. The move comes as other portions of the state have stated to move into the “yellow” phase of the plan. But most of Southeast PA, including Philly, will remain in the “red” phase for at least another month.

CBS 3 Philly (@cbs3) reported, health officials had long warned that the densely populated areas in Southeast PA, would likely be among the last places in the state to reopen, even though some Philly officials have pointed out “encouraging” trends in the fight against the Coronavirus. Twenty-four regions in the northwest and northcentral regions of the state have already moved into the yellow phase which began on Friday. Republicans in the state have accused Wolf of moving too slowly with the reopening. A reopening protest was planned for Friday at Philadelphia City Hall.
