20-year old rapper Pop Smoke was murdered overnight in what police are calling an apparent home invasion. According to TMZ (@tmz), the rapper was at home in the Hollywood Hills home he was renting when two armed men wearing hoodies and mask broke into the house. According to a police report, the two men fired multiple shots once inside the home. Pop Smoke was critically wounded in the gunfire. The gunmen were allegedly seen fleeing the scene on foot. Pop Smoke was rushed by ambulance to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Hollywood where he was pronounced dead. Police say there was a party at the house earlier that night. It’s not clear if this may be related to the shooting or if Pop Smoke may have known the shooters. This story is still developing. The young NY Emcee who gained attention on the rap scene when his song “Welcome To The Party” got big over this past summer, was only 20-years old.
